Faces was a personal project I finished in early 2018 which explores human emotion and body language. I’ve always been fascinated with how expressions can often give away how someone is feeling before they have a chance to formulate words to the contrary. It’s almost as if we want everyone to know how we’re feeling instinctively, but choose to hide it. This project explores this phenomenon by presenting the reverse, faces that convey no emotion but are constantly bubbling and stretching with movement to represent our fragile masks.
